Clover, thanks for the reinforcement. I graduated high school in 95 so I'm fairly old myself...lol...I'm ever so glad that the trend is due to go back to the rebel. Watching Juno is when I first noticed it, wasn't it great to see an anti-heroine in the old school Winona Ryder kind of way? It gives me hope yet for these kids, I loved the NKOTB, etc, but I got over it and so did most of our generation. That's why I've said before, these kids will look back in shame at their Archie love in about 3 years.

ha ha ha! i can't help but "lol". dear "archuletarocks07" (the commenter addicted to their caps lock button), i like how even though your name is supposed to be "david archuleta rocks" the bulletin only fits, "davidarchuletar.." implying that you are an archuleTARD! poetic justice. love, hilary p.s. i am using all lowercase to try and counter your apparent love affarir with capital letters.....you win.

David Archuleta rocks? Really? Rocks how - like Motley Crue, Motorhead, Wolfmother? Barry Manilow rocks more than Archuleta. Hell, Karen Carpenter rocked more than Archie does. Now I know why he's shouting - he's fucking deaf.

Clover and capt, I graduated from high school in 1985 and I do not consider myself old. Seasoned perhaps, wiser definitely, but far from "old." hahaha I'm 100% in agreement with everything else though. Cheers.

Mulishass, I guess I was putting the "old" handle in perspective of these fantards with the average age of 12. Captjj, I have to admit that when I was 15, I was totally into the hair bands of the 80's, which is my personal shame I guess. It totally blew my mind the first time I heard Nirvana. Now that was rebellion. I loved Winona Ryder in Heathers. The anti-Ringwald. I haven't seen Juno yet. Actually, come to think of it, I haven't watched any newer movies in a while. The only thing that seems to be on my TV lately is NickJr. Guess that's why I'm on the internet so much :D

teen rebellion is dead. Now most of these people are tweentards. So we should be looking forward to the tween rebellion.

Very true. One of my students was complaining the other day about the way a couple kids at school dress (they don't exactly fit into one specific style... it's a mix of like emo/skater/goth/whatever else they want to wear). She looked at me and practically screamed, "What's wrong with being normal?!?" To which I had to respond, "What's wrong with being different?" Kids these days have no sense of individuality. It kills me how cruel they can be to someone just because they are different.
