Nope, I just have enough respect for my kid to let her be a kid. When she turns 18 she can choose her own destiny, but while she is under my care I will be her PARENT (and not her friend) and do my best to make sure that she is healthy and happy. Judging from the examples set by Dina Lohan and Joe Simpson, I think I have done her a tremendous favor. I'd rather have the picture of her and her best friends on the jungle gym at the park than a headshot any day and I believe she will appreciate that picture and the memories that go along with it much more as well.

PS I absolutely LOVE when other parents assume that because they would make different choices for their children that other parents are just lazy. Give me a break.

Katherine McPhee's mom was a voice coach and there weren't any problems with her, Was there? I think parents for young stars need to be involved or they will be taken advantage of but there is a line that has been crossed with this dad.

No, no problems with Kat McPhee at all, unless you count bulimia ...
