Bitch, please. I will personally entertain you for a half hour if we can have less Idol each week.

I would miss Pauler and her drug induced idiocy, but Randy should definitely go. As much as I hate to admit, Simon is the voice of reason for the show (which isn't saying much). Oh and the chop is... just wow.

It would be nice if they gave the show a real overhaul, but I suspect Simon is just talk here. Cutting the results show is a good thing. Half an hr is still long but much better than the bloated hr we had this yr. Getting an entirely new set of judges would be great! Getting rid of a lot of the theme weeks is something they really need to look at though. This yr that was all we had was themes, and mentors who were only there to shill their latest releases. I wanted to hear the Idols choose music they liked and would want to perform, not someone else's that they had cover to fit the theme. And something from the 21st century woulda been real nice.

Well. . . I'll believe it when it happens. . . There is still the major flaw in the voting process. Perhaps if everyone got a photo ID and were only able to vote at designated polling places. . . oh. . .that's right. That doesn't work either. Never mind.

Nah, since most of the country's phone service runs through Ma Bell, all TPTB have to do is make you take a passport down to the local AT&;T office and make a copy for them to keep in your file. Then they'll unlock your phone and let you vote for Idol. Presidential race, smesidential race.

Dear Simon, Any and all revamps would be appreciated. Lord knows we've all given our two-cents worth; from contestants choosing their own relevant music, shelving the dinosaurs they call mentors, truly making it about undiscovered/non-contracted talent, and ditching the dead weight in the first two seats. A change in the voting system would be square one in my book. Surely there is a better way? Take a page from the other reality shows - let the judges put three on the block then the public votes, let the public put three on the block then the judges vote, or better yet, a cage death match for the two on the bottom.

No change in voting. The way the voting is now is what makes VFTW work. And if they changed it, people would probably be so mad that they would stop watching.

Au contraire mon frere - VFTW voting could be truly consolidated and effective with such a limited choice.
