How shocking! For all the pimping in the first half of the season, they are throwing Archie under the bus!

I think they are throwing Jeff Archuleta under the bus (or off the cliff, if you prefer that). Poor Lil' Davey. p.s. I think answer D should be "Gosh!" as he seems to say that a heck of a lot more lately. Ask Daddy is perfect, however. ;)

Are you serious?! I swear, if they do a few more shady things like this, I'm gonna maybe threaten to stop watching as much.

Ah hell, why don't they just pull out all the stops and make him sing the most annoying songs in history?... he could start with "Don't Worry, Be Gaspy" and move on to "Our Lips Are Licked" and end the evening with "Livin' La Archuleta". They must have some killer clauses in that contract that probably open them up to all kinds of monetary penalty if they breathe a word about all the underhanded tricks that go into this show. Just the thought of Smirky McSmugMug standing there and basking in the pseudo-glory after his "win" on Wednesday night makes me want to punch random Idol fans in the neck (which would hurt me more than it would hurt them). You would think he would have put the brakes on after seeing the obvious attempt to hamstring the other contestants (like, they actually do have SOME power, if they all refused to sing, where would the show be?) but I guess that dangling carrot just looks too good to give up in the name of personal ethics. love, J-Mo

Wow, what a surprise...NOT! Of course, if Gaspy loses, all his fantards will come over here and spew their hatred at us when they should be spewing at American Idol. Looks like no matter how many tweentards/momtards/grannytards vote for him this week, he's going to lose to Smirky McSmirk Face.

I want to see opera night. THAT'll separate the men from the Archulettas. I think they're throwing Archie under the bus 'cause nearly all season he's been hyped like the Messiah, and now they feel the pressure to look "fair and balanced." Syesha should have won. No, I'm not bitter.

I gotta agree that this, if true, is more about Jeff Archuleta rather than David. They've obviously seen the workings of Jeff and have quite a sour taste in their mouths, why on earth would they willingly subject themselves to even more of him by crowning David A? David Cook for the win. Too bad for him, I think he could be really successful if he didn't win, but as though it looks like he will, I doubt he'll have the career he probably wants.

The only things I question about what this vocal coach guy is saying: 1. "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" was David Cook's best song? I guess I'm not a vocal coach or anything, but I thought he sounded absolutely awful and off key for the whole song. 2. These guys are fighting over who gets to sing songs as groundbreaking and revolutionary as "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing?" That's like two dung beetles fighting over a pile of excrement. No matter who wins the fight, it's still just a pile of crap. Personally, I'd be fighting not to sing that awful song.

The song that David/David will sing tomorrow night will be from a contest that american idol said was writen by an "amateur".....They said.... "All top 20 2008 songwriting finalist are "AMATEUR's". So please...please....find 1 in this bunch, ok? How many will it take till someone does something? 1. Top 20 American Idol Songwriting Finalist (Andy Zulla) is an engineer on Clay Aiken, Kelly Clarkson, Diana DeGarmo CD's. 2. Top 20 American Idol Songwriting Finalist (Windy Wagner) is a backup singer on the NEW Clay Aiken CD. 3. Top 20 American Idol Songwriting Finalist (Ryan Gillmor) wrote the theme song for the Fox television show "Unhitched". 4. Top 20 American Idol Songwriting Finalist (Dan Yessian) wrote jingles for Ford Motors. 5. Top 20 American Idol Songwriting Finalist (Luke Ebbin) is a producer on Austalian Idol 1st place runner-up Shannon Noll's CD. 6. Top 20 American Idol Songwriting Finalist (Regie Hamm) is a co-writer on the New Clay Aiken CD and he's also a co-writer of the winner of 2007's American Idol Songwriting Contest Scott Krippayne......Anybody see a pattern yet? 3 of the 2008 American Idol Songwriting Contest Top 20 songwriters get credit on Clay Aiken CD's. Out of thousands and thousands of entries (At $10.00 each) 3 out of 20 work with Mr. Aiken. And nobody has a problem with this?
