Here is the cover to david Cook's first single about magic rainbows, Time of My Life. Good? Bad? 30 seconds in Photoshop? Does it matter when the song is so bad? Discuss.

There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the whole "Time of my life" song title and Cook's "Meh. Whatever." expression.

I think him realizing he has to release this crappy song is giving him that look of constipation. LOL Magical rainbows!!!!!

Haha.. It's actually a lot better than all the previous covers though! It's come a long way since Kelly Clarkson (where her cover made her look 12 and this is coming from a BIG fan). I'm going to get this single; it's not as bad as the previous songs, minus the line about rainbows! Go David Cook!!!

Hopefully when he recorded this song he sang it like shit on purpose so that he can then say, well, I need better material than this garbage.

I just don't understand why they can't choose a good song. I am sure there were better entries than this schlock.

Every year, some crap about "this is the one moment in my life where my dreams are realized and I am here in my truth with kittens licking my toes as rainbows shoot out my ass..." sheesh.

Who writes this shit?

His expression is perfectly dull and unamused. Nicely done!

Since there was all the confusion with the other contestants and all at the end last night, I'm not sure how many people heard Seafoam say the title of the song, let alone the to-die-for lyrics unless they were really trying...how many people are going to get it off iTunes thinking it's from "Dirty Dancing"??

The "I've lost all credibility" look is great. Plain white background, plain white guy. I guess that's a theme.

Did they do this cover just so VFTW could chop it?

"Rawk On", dc, kd, whatever

You know that they have to rush the single and tour out right away. Why? Because in a month, no one cares about American Idol and they have to make money right away.

I know this firsthand because I actually attended two AI season tour concerts. The first one was when Carrie Underwood won and the second when Taylor Hicks won.

This is what happens.....they put the tickets on sale right around finale time when there is a frenzy and the most interest in the show. It worked out fine for my daughters and I when Carrie won because our stop on the tour was at the beginning of the tour, when there was still some interest. What happened the following year when Taylor won was that the tour stop here was at the end, like in September. I think I sat through the whole concert kicking myself that we spent alot of money on these tickets for a concert that we could care less about seeing by the time it came.

The passport/DMV like photo is perfect for this craptastic song. Hopefully, by the time his real (I use that term loosely) album comes along, they will take a little more time on the art direction.
