Why should I be the only one having a serious debate? When the person on the other end is an angry, loud-mouthed child, sometimes you have to go down to their level for them to understand you.

"Just because those words are in the Bible doesn't mean Jesus said them. They could have been said by anyone from the start of the Bible [I.E. The start of time] Well before your Confucius"

Good point Jason. Maybe a caveman drew it on rocks.

Still, the oldest record seems to show that Confucius preached about the Golden Rule. And yes. He was way, way, ahead of Jesus' time.

Actually, the "ethic of reciprocity," or the "golden rule" dates back to ancient Egypt and is found in nearly every culture and religion. While it is in The Bible, it did not necessarily originate there. We may never know for sure.

But who cares. I think the point of this was that Constantass is a complete tool, who supposedly found Jesus, but goes on to badmouth others to make himself look good. And that's not a very Christian thing to do. It cracks me up when I hear people say they found Jesus, but then don't follow any of his teachings.

DreamCrusher,

I know, isn't it ironic and just sad? I feel the same way although it doesn't make me laugh it kind of just disgusts me when people do things like ConstantCrap.

So many comments. So little time. I just saw this all now--I haven't posted in ages!

Regarding the single's cover: What juxtaposition. See, "Time of My Life," with its lyrics about magic rainbows, sounds like a song that will instantly end up on one of Hallmark's Cards With Sound. The message inside will go something like "Thank you for making my life so worthwhile" or some other poetic thing too long to waste space with. Now, I want THIS picture to be the cover of that card, maybe with a few rainbows thrown in behind him for good measure. It's much the same with this cover and the song anyway.

Regarding Constantine: What a freaking jerk! Much as Archie irritated me (in a pleasant, VFTW way, though), his sexuality (and Sanjaya's) is nothing that should really matter. Who cares if you're gay? Freddie Mercury was gay. Pete Townshend is at least bisexual. But look at what greats they are. I'm not saying Archie's going to become one of those greats, but THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY--if it's an absolute fact that he is!

This thread is SO. WEIRD.

I too, found Jesus. And then lost Him. And went to look for Him in the Lost-n-Found and discovered someone else had taken Him home. I never did find Jesus again.

So now I believe in Mickey Mouse.
