Fifty is over the hill, actually. By the time that child is 10, she'll be in her 60s. She's not going to be able to keep up with an active 10 year old at that age. She'll be in a retirement community or dead by the time the child finishes college.

Advise 87 year old mother-in-law that, according to Alektorophobic, she should not have been alive to see grandchild graduate from college a few weeks ago, nor should she be here this week to witness graduation of another grandchild from high school. Also, she should have moved from her home to a retirement community 17 years ago.
