Does anyone know what charity Jeff Archuletta was planning to support with this concert? Something tells me it isn't some sort of anti-child abuse charity...

Duke of Vandals--the charity money was supposedly going to go to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and Make A Wish Foundation.

I was watching that on the news (I live in Utah) the concert WAS scheduled for Friday, June 6th and all of the arch-angels were so dissapointed on the news and I just said "aha, take THAT!" oh, I am so mean, talking to my television in such a way. anyway, they said that if Achuleta were to perform in utah before the idol tour then it may affect ticket sales when the idol tour comes to Salt Lake City. The concert was only going to cost $1 (according to the news) and the rest of the money was going to charity (10% would probably have gone to the mormon church as well... gotta get into heaven)

The concert was only going to cost $1 (according to the news) and the rest of the money was going to charity (10% would probably have gone to the mormon church as well... gotta get into heaven) The breakdown was to be $.25 of that dollar to go towards the costs of holding the concert and the other $.75 to be split between the 2 charities. But you raise a good point, I wonder if some would be put towards the church on the sly. I don't know anything about that religion, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Archuletta's had to pay some sort of percentage of his earnings to the church. Good chop, but no chop will ever top the Archutard as a 2 year old on a leash in the airport line.

VFTW I have a question. During the AI5 concert Hicks had a solo tour with his band along side the AI tour. Sooooo, how did that work? To bad AI doesn't realize that this MS concert would be great free advertisment for the "good deeds" of the AI machine.

anyway, they said that if Achuleta were to perform in utah before the idol tour then it may affect ticket sales when the idol tour comes to Salt Lake City. - woolymammoth Typical. God forbid any charity should get in the way of profit for the poor AI producers. Nigel might have trouble paying the staff at his mansions.
