AI did its token charity for the year with AI Gives Head. Perish the thought they should actually give a little extra.

Anyway, I heard the charity was going to be the Jeff Archuleta Health &; Welfare Fund.

SHL,

Taylor's "shadow" tour during season 5 was never advertised as a legitimate tour for him. In fact it wasn't. His old band reformed as "LiMBO" and had gigs in close proximity to the Idol tour. Taylor would sort of "show up" and jam with them on occasion, probably to keep his sanity. He did not get paid, nor was his name ever listed as a performer. Elliot, Bucky, Ace and even Chris and Kat came along as well, some of them performing.

They were pretty fucking amazing shows too! Before they repackaged him.

TPTB probably knows nobody's gonna buy tickets to the tour if they can see Gaspy live for a cheaper price.

Why pay for the cow when you can get the milk for free? Oh wait, it's only Gaspy...still have to pay to see the cow (CS).

Good to see that AI gives back, but not to people with MS or kids with a wish/terminal illness. Hate to think it might cost THEM anything as they shill for charity.

"Typical. God forbid any charity should get in the way of profit for the poor AI producers. Nigel might have trouble paying the staff at his mansions."

You say that like he pays the staff at his mansions.

The producers clearly underestimate the little lizard's fantards. They would have bought tickets to both.

It wasn't the producers of AI - that was an assumption. It was actually the bookers of the venue itself. They haven't sold all the tickets to the Idol tour event (surprise), and told the family they couldn't justify selling tickets to a $1 concert with tickets to the already booked event still unsold.

That's pretty normal

It would be a little more reasonable if the bookers of the venue were concerned about losing money, but Dave's original post says, <i>"Idol said no. Why? None of the top 10 can do their own thing until after the tour."</i> That sounds to me like Idol being greedy.

That picture is hilarious. It reminds me of that Mike Meyers skit from SNL, where he was the hyperactive kid with the helmet, tied to the jungle gym.
