Nigel Lythgoe Wants to Create the Next Partridge Family

Nigel Lythgoe is creating a new reality show for the CW to find the next famous singing family. Wow, that sounds like it's going to be a hit. But as Vulture points out, that Search for the Next Partridge Family show in 2004 did discover Emma Stone (above), so hey. Nigel clearly can't pick out talent though (see: the last few casts of American Idol), so don't expect lightning to strike twice.

Maybe This Is Why Nigel Lythgoe Forces Gay Idol Contestants To Stay In The Closet

As you can see from the article below this one, Nigel Lythgoe has been getting more heat for forcing gay American Idol contestants to stay in the closet and pretend they're straight, like Adam Lambert. For those wondering why this is such a touchy subject for Nigel, perhaps all your questions will be answered after watching this Donna Summer video featuring a tranny-tastic male dancer that looks an awful lot like a young Nigel to me. Uncle Nigel, thou protesteth too much!

Do you think it's Nigel or just some random tranny? Either way, it's time for Nigel and Fox to get with it and let people be.

It was very entertaining to watch Lee DeWyze at the American Idol 10 finale making bitchfaces behind Ryan Seacrest. Lee was clearly not happy with something. Maybe he finally realized that the 2 reasons he won were VFTW and Simon Cowell sabotaging the show. Tatiana Del Toro remarked on Facebook that Lee looked very upset the entire finale. Either way, Nigel Lythgoe was upset that Lee didn't present the winner's trophy to Scotty, and he took to Twitter to air his unhappiness. Wonder if Lee's still happy to have won last year?

Year 10 of American Idol was a season of change (Simon leaving/Nigel returning, new judges, completely selling out to the fundies, etc.) but there was one thing that never changes: There's ALWAYS a worst, and VFTW was there to support it! No one knew what to expect when the season began but, upon reflection, how could there have been any doubt it was going to be anything other than a complete trainwreck, giving us the most VFTW season since AI6. Read on to re-visit all the great VFTW moments of the past season...
