American Idol season 7 semifinalist Jason Yeager is auctioning off his iPod Touch on Ebay to benefit the American Cancer Society. Since VFTW also does a charity drive every year to benefit the very same cause, we thought we'd give this a mention so that you can check it out. It's a good cause and the iPod is actually cheaper on the auction right now than going out to buy a new one. So really, everyone wins. Head on over and bid.
Listen up, fools! We've got a show on what's going on with Idol, and we have surprise guest Jason Yeager from AI7 call in near the end of the show. We're on at 10:00 PM Eastern, 9:00 PM Central. Feel free to sound off with us by dialing 201-793-8255 during the show, or by going to Alldigitalradio.com and connecting via Skype.
There are 3 ways to listen:
You probably don't remember Jason, but he was in the top 24 last year. He was cast as fodder, but he had a decent voice, though of course the judges didn't ever compliment it because he wasn't ever given screen time. Either way, his weekly vlogs are kind of notable because you can see the show from the perspective of someone put on the show who knew that had no chance to win due to having no screentime. Around 8:31 he talks about how the contestants pick a list of songs and then the producers pick which song they get to sing. Not that we didn't know this, but it's good to hear it from more sources. Either way, Jason's vlog is smei-interesting, so keep up with it if you want to.
As we know, all of the Idol contestants read VFTW, despite what Carlyplant would have you believe. Jason Yeager recently posted a blog where he talks about, among other things, his time in Hollywood with Michael Johns, David Cook, and Luke Menard. He also referenced our website when talking about the day his roommate Michael Johns moved in:
I showed up in Hollywood week and checked into my hotel room. My roommate had already checked in and his stuff was already moved in. A few moments later the "Song-stealing-greasy-headed-douchebag" as he so lovingly became known to the four of us, (thanks to our wonderful friends at votefortheworst.com) lol!!!!! We instantly became really good friends that whole week.
Glad you liked the nickname, Jason. It's very fitting! Though this is now the second account we've heard of Michael Johns being kind of cool. Hmmmm... maybe he's only a slight douchebag, but still pretty greasy. Take a shower and we'll talk.
