What a great results! We helped save Amanda and Danny and helped boot a pretty good singer like Alaina. Amanda and Danny were definitely in real danger, yet they stuck around, so great job helping to vote for them this week! Now let's get them into the top 12 and on to Idol Gives Head. Hopefully Brooke will user her beauty school expertise to really mess up Amanda's hair for her performance next week that we helped save her for. Too bad Robbie's gone so she can't fix his wig.

Call 1-866-IDOLS-05 (or text 'VOTE' to 5705) to vote for Danny because he's definitely in danger this week. Even when he's trying to prove he can sing, he's still sassy and over the top fabulous. His singing was definitely pitchy this week, but the best part is always his stories and post-song sass. I mean, who else could be in a fake punk band that sucks and then agree with Simon while still giving us a patented head snap. Danny, you are too good to us. So vote your snappy fingers off, because if we lose Danny, we'll all cry. This show would be way too boring without him.

Oops, Idol messed up again. This week, American Idol announced that performances could be downloaded from iTunes after the show. What they forgot is that iTunes tracks the popularity of each download... so now we can estimate how many votes each contestant received and where they stand in the popularity rankings. We're happy to see Danny so high. Good work, everyone! Most of the contestants who went home also had very low iTunes rankings. Here's a picture in case Idol learns its lesson and fixes this somehow. We know many of you couldn't get to the site yesterday to see Amy was our pick, and we're working on fixing the server to handle the huge amount of people who want to stop by the site. Unfortunately, this means we lost Amy this week, but the fabulous Danny Noriega is still in. And as always, VFTW will pick someone new next week for the girls because of course we have to piss off the producers as much as possible. But thanks for the over 10 million hits between Tuesday and Wednesday, that's a VFTW record! Let's make it even bigger next week. Update: We will be choosing our VFTW pick for the females during the live show on Wednesday. We want to wait to see who tanks again, as all of the females were either bad or boring, so it's too hard to pick after just one performance.
