It looks like Kelly speaking out about Ryan Tedder's duplicity got her into trouble with living dead Clive Davis and her record label, RCA. According to The Prophet blog, Kelly was warned prior to Already Gone being released that if she spoke up against the song and made it known that it was a knock-off of Beyonce's Halo, all promotion for the album would be pulled. Now that she has, it looks like there may be no more music videos, no more appearances, and no more money spent on promoting the album to try to spite her. Seriously? Is there any way for her to get out of this contract? This is just ridiculous after her former fight with Clive about "My December". This is what you all have to look forward to, future Idol winners.
Perpetual crap songwriter Ryan Tedder is firing back at Kelly Clarkson after she exposed the fact that he gave Beyonce and Kelly the same song, which turned into 2 ridiculously similar singles, "Halo" and "Already Gone". Kelly felt embarrassed about releasing a song that makes her look like she stole the music, understandably. Ryan told TMZ:
"Already Gone" is one of the best song I've written or produced since "Bleeding Love" and stands tall on it's own merits apart from "Halo".
They are two entirely different songs conceptually, melodically, & lyrically and I would never try to dupe an artist such as Kelly Clarkson or Beyoncé into recording over the same musical track, the idea is both hurtful & absurd.
He also said he wants people to listen and form their own opinions. Anyone with working eardrums can tell that it's the same song. You're not getting out of this one that easily, Ryan. Especially since you think "Bleeding Love" was a good song. Crazy!
Speaking of the post below, here is Kelly Clarkson's video for Halo by Beyonce.
If you haven't heard Kelly Clarkson's new single, Already Gone, you might think you already have when you do finally hear it. Turns out the guy that wrote it, perpetual crap songwriter Ryan Tedder, penned the song for Kelly and then wrote a similar song for Beyonce called Halo. When Kelly realized that Ryan had written a song with a very similar sound for Beyonce and it was released as a single, she fought to not have it released as her new single. Predictably, her record label didn't listen and it releasing it as the third single anyway. Kelly blames the record company, but let's place the blame on the correct party here: Ryan Tedder and his formulaic, predictable songwriting. People... stop hiring him. Above, you can hear what Already Gone would sound like when played over the background music to Halo. Basically, the same song.
