In a Rolling Stone article that takes bits out of her new book, Kara DioGuardi admits that the producers of American Idol are the ones who send the contestants packing during the Hollywood rounds, not the judges.

During the season 9 Hollywood week one contestant was eliminated in what seemed like an oversight by the producers. "I saw her walking out of the auditorium crying," DioGurardi writes. "She was still on the judges' list. So Randy, Ellen, Simon, and I tried to fight for her, but we weren't permitted to change the decision. There was one other contestant some of us wanted as well, but there seemed to be an air of suspicion that Simon might be trying to sabotage the contestant pool in the wake of his leaving. I don't know about that, but from my perspective he was definitely trying to help the show. I felt awful for these contestants...By the end of the week I didn't have a good feeling about the mix of talent we'd ended up with, and I was right."

So basically, the producers do whatever they want and the judges are there to look like they make decisions? That's what we thought. It's also interesting to see that the producers felt that Simon Cowell was trying to sabotage the show in his last season - he clearly succeeded since we ended up with Lee DeWyze as the winner.

Kara DioGuardi Peed On Herself During the American Idol 8 Finale

Kara DioGuardi is desperately looking to stay in the public eye, so she wrote some memoirs that are sure to sell a copy or two. What's sad is that Kara is so desperate, she's revealing things that no normal human being would talk about. Gossip Center is reporting that Kara told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that she peed in her bikini at the American Idol 8 finale because she was nervous. Maybe she wants to join Fergie in the exclusive "Cool Kids Who Wet Themselves on Stage" club? And if she was so nervous about coming out in a bikini, she could've saved everyone's eyesight by, um, just not doing it. This woman is a total train wreck.

Jackie Tohn and Jes Hudak, yes Powerfox and Ponymane, have been announced as contestants on Bravo's new show Platinum Hit that premieres on May 30. The show follows singer-songwriters as they try to win a $100,000 cash prize, a publishing deal with Sony, and a record deal with RCA/Jive. This sounds awesome, so we'll definitely be following along and rooting for our girls (and voting for them if we are allowed to). This shows sounds super awesome, but there's one dark cloud: the head judge is none other than Kara DioGuardi. Put her out to pasture already.

So join us in rooting for our ladies on Platinum Hit. Hopefully one of them will win the contract and make us proud.
