Powerfox and Ponymane give a tribute to past Idol judges Paula Abdul (yay!) and Kara DioGuardi (really?) with their mashup of "Straight Up" and "Sober". It's always good to hear a classic Pauler tune, especially sung by these lovely ladies.

A new year of Idol (boo) also means a new year of Powerfox and Ponymane (yay!). Check out the ladies and their sweet dance moves in this Aerosmith and J-Lo mashup. At least this gives us a slight reason to be positive about the season. Powerfox and Ponymane are love.

Congratulations to Alex Nester who won the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Female Vocal on Friday night. If you haven't heard Alex's music, check out her now award winning song Unique. Alex made it to Hollywood during season 9 of American Idol, but she was cut when the producers probably noticed she had talent. She would've stuck out like a sore thumb with the likes of Lee DeWyze and Tim Urban.

Also, a congratulations to another one of our friends, Jackie Tohn, who won Best Music Video for her What Is Love video. Again, Jackie was way too awesome to make it far on Idol.

How many awards have the last few Idol winners won? Likely it's none.
