Wah wah, someone's 15 minutes are up.

Good Lord, Chris Medina already has a music video like 2 days after he was shown being cut on American Idol. It's a shitty ballad produced by Rodney Jerkins. And of course, it exploits his girlfriend in an incredibly tacky way (did you expect any less?). Our guess is Idol realized they needed to cash in on this sympathy now before he's irrelevant and they hooked all this up. Actually smart on their part, because no one will care about this guy in a month. (Via MJ's Big Blog)

After whoring out his fiancee's sad story on TV to try to win a record deal, it's only fitting that Chris Medina was cut and did not make the top 24. If you too would like to celebrate, join us here. JoesPlace has released 18 of the top 24 and also named 5 people who were cut (the site seems to be overloaded with traffic!). Jessica Cunningham and Eryn Kelly were cut (no shock, we haven't seen them), Hoillie Cavanagh was cut (boring), and John Wayne Schulz was cut (haha, frauen) but the big news is that Chris Medina was cut. This was brilliant on the producers' part. Chris would've gotten to the end of the show without even trying based on the pimping of his handicapped fiancee, so kicking him out now saved us months of agony and boredom. Nice call, Nigel!
