Kris Allen Says American Idol Has Been Going On Too Long

Kris Allen, #wgwg2, was asked by TMZ if he watched the American Idol finale. He had not. When asked why the ratings might be down, Kris said it may be because the show has been going on too long. Ya think?

The best part is that the post is accompanied by a poll that asks if American Idol should be cancelled. As of right now, 74% of people think it should be. Idol is toast. It's no longer relevant to the music industry and no one on the show will go on to do anything. Pull the plug already. If you renew the show for season 12, we're just going to make sure #wgwg6 wins and you'll all look even more foolish. Just sayin'.

Cancel Idol

Kris Allen Performs "Gangsta's Paradise"

Kris Allen performs "Gangsta's Paradise" at the Mix 104.9 Chris-Mix. OK, that's pretty funny. Why doesn't this guy's label know how to market him again?

In what should be obvious to anyone with a brain, Lee DeWyze barely sold any albums this week. His debut album, Live It Up, came in with 39,000 sold according to USA Today. That's less than half of what Kris Allen, the previous low end record holder for the winners, sold last year. Even fucking Justin Guarini from season 1 sold more albums than Lee in his first week. This is truly getting pathetic. A 5 month long advertisement for one person's album can only manage to sell 39k albums, even with millions and millions of people watching? Unless the show produces a megastar this year, looks for cancellation right around the corner.

Kris Allen - Alright With Me Music Video

Kris Allen released his homemade video for "Alright With Me" and it's 100 times better than the crap videos his record label released for his other songs. Mostly because there's some personality to it. Why bother spending so much money on videos that went nowhere anyway? It's not like this song is going to storm the pop charts. Budget saving in this economy is a good thing.
