Now here's the most promising contestant that we've seen get to the top 24 so far, since most of our favorites are falling by the wayside. Lilly Scott is in a band called Varlet. She has an Amy Winehouse meets the singer from the Cardigans type voice. But even though she sings that type of music, her songs are fun and have titles like "Can of Beer" and "Jello Plate". In the aformentioned "Jello Plate" she talks about how she might as well be singing to a "fucking jello plate" and how she can't "take these fucking people." That's our kind of girl! She also lists "Amy Winehouse on cocaine" as one of her heroes. Take her quirky personality, fun songs, and sense of humor, and I think we've got someone to look forward to here. Make us proud, Lilly!

Ashley Rodriguez, Katie Stevens, Jermaine Sellers, and Tyler Grady have already been featured on the show.

JoesPlace has a few more updates today. Artheria La'Bry (Theiry Harden) has made the top 48 (woo hoo!). Other top 48 contestants not previously announced: Bosa Mora, Charity Vance, Lilly Scott, and Tyler Grady. Brittany Starr James was cut during the chair episode. No word yet on Ben Honeycutt.

Michelle Delamor has made the top 24. Seems Idol likes its curly haired chicks this season. She performed in the South Florida Summerfest 2008 with Colby O'Donis, who is signed to Akon's record label. Due to the preview above, we're thinking Idol is going to pimp the hell out of her soon enough, so stay tuned for that.
