Who knew this would be so fun to watch? First, Alex Lambert tweeted that he was living on the streets of LA. Then 19E said that Alex is on retainer and there was no way he was homeless. Now, Alex is tweeting that he isn't getting a retainer at all.

I just got back on the internet from like a week ago and I'm reading that everywhere! When Do I get this retainer? $$ dude! These guys have been telling the media they been payin me! Makin me look like im lyin! It's a shame dude!

We can't wait for 19E's inevitable response, "I know you are but what am I?" and Alex's poignant return with, "Your mom." No matter what happens next, Alex is pissing off some 19E people and it's hilarious to watch the damage control on both sides.

After tweeting that he's homeless and living on the streets of LA, Alex Lambert's reps tell Entertainment Weekly that he's not homeless.

A spokesperson for 19 Entertainment, an Idol production company that manages many of the show’s contestants, confirmed to EW that Lambert did tweet those messages. But the rep also was also emphatic: “He’s not homeless. I don’t know where that came from.”
The spokesperson added some evidence that Lambert, who’s on a development deal with 19, should have the means to pay for housing: “He’s on a retainer, and he’s getting money every month. He’s working on demos. He’s with writers, he’s working on music.” 

So the guy is either a) too stupid to use the retainer money for a place to live or b) lying to milk money out of the stupid fans he still has leftover from the show. To Alex's credit, most of his fans are complete morons (they still support him... that should be proof enough) so he might as well try to get as much money out of them as possible before the next season starts and they abandon him for some other guy with a mullet.

Either way, FAIL.

Edited To Add: Alex is busted again for lying. A band named Purple Melon says on Reality Rocks that Alex has been sleeping on their couch for 2 months (scroll down to comment #3). Guess he's just looking for attention, which he'll get in spades as we mock him for lying.

Remember the guy from Idol season 9 who had the mullet? Well it turns out, he's homeless. According to the Huffington Post, Alex Lambert has been tweeting from coffee shops how he has been sleeping on the street and behind buildings since he has nowhere to live in Los Angeles. Of course, Alex could just go back to Texas and give up on his music career and live with his parents. Or he could just apply for any other job besides being a musician. I hear the coffee shops he tweets from are hiring. Then again, he doesn't seem like the bright type. With the stench of American Idol 9 hanging over him, and probably the stench of some unshowered days, it's not looking too good for Mr. Lambert.

After tween favorite Alex Lambert was voted off of American Idol, while VFTW picks Tim Urban and Paige Miles coasted into the top 12, the fans are pissed. So they do what they always do: start a petition. This petition is even funnier than normal, because the people think if they can get 7500 signatures, Alex Lambert will clearly be allowed back on the show. It didn't work for Frenchie, it didn't work for Daughtry, it ain't gonna work for a 19 year old high school student with bad stage fright. Stay tuned for the fan outrage when Alex *gasp* isn't miraculously allowed back onto the show this week.
