Crystal Bowersox Sells 58,000 Albums In Her First Week

Crystal Bowersox has apparently sold 57,804 albums in her first week. While that's much better than Lee DeWyze's sad 39,000, it's still really depressing for someone who had millions of people watching them on Idol each week. And Pigpen does actually have some talent there, but she'd fit much better on an indie label. If Idol doesn't want next year's winner to sell under 10k, they need to wise up and get some marketable and entertaining acts on their show.

Crystal Bowersox - Farmer's Daughter Music Video

The video for Crystal Bowersox's first single "Farmer's Daughter" is out. Crystal is apparently projected to sell just a few more albums than Lee DeWyze. That's still really sad at this point. The show is dead. Let's declare it.

Crystal Bowersox's "Farmer's Daughter" Available Today

Crystal Bowersox's album Farmer's Daughter is out today, so go pick up or download a copy if you want. The album's getting good reviews and Crystal had the cajones to give VFTW a shoutout during her run on the show, so we figure we might as well repay the favor and pimp her album a bit. Besides, with as little promotion as she's getting from her label (who even knew the album was coming out today?), she'll need the help to sell even as many as Lee DeWyze. So take a listen and pick up Pigpen's album if you like what you hear.

Crystal Bowersox Gets Her Way - Her First Single is Now "Farmer's Daughter"

Crystal Bowersox publicly dissed her first single, Hold On, a piece of crap song written by Kara DioGuardi and the Nickelback guy. Instead of her label getting mad at her, it looks like it paid off. MJ's Big Blog is reporting that the single has now been changed to the much better Crystal penned Farmer's Daughter. Neither song will probably get much radio play, so they might as well go with the better song. Crystal seems more like a touring artist than someone who should be trying to get her songs on the radio, right?
