It's confirmed that tonight Casey and Mike will be dueting, meaning Lee and Crystal will be dueting as well. It's the VFTW pick and the replaced VFTW pick dueting with the 2 pimped contestants. Who wants to bet the Goat/Fatty duet will be thrown under the bus no matter what happens? Either way, we know Casey is 99% going home tomorrow night, so we're going to have to vote overtime to prevent that one, especially after what will hopefully be a hilarious duet between the two cheesiest contestants.
So now that we're in the top 5, the VFTW pick has come down to Michael Lynche and Aaron Kelly. The choice went back and forth, but after some thought, it's obvious who we should help save: Michael. He's arrogant, he's cheesy, and he's only around because he's riding a wave of sympathy from almost being eliminated. Most people would've loved to have seen home go home in 9th place like he was supposed to, so if he even lasts one more week, fans won't be too happy. People seem to really hate this guy, which just means he's perfect to plaster up on our site. The hate for Aaron isn't even half as big, so that's no fun just yet. And whereas Aaron is trying to improve, Mike just does the same thing every week without listening to the judges at all.
Yes, we know Michael is probably going home next. But Vote for the Worst always votes for the contestant that we think would be awesome to keep around despite what's probably going to happen. If Mike does go home next? Well, no one really likes him so we won't care. If Mike stays? VFTW Victory! Let's see if the guy who should've gone home weeks ago can make the top 4. It doesn't even matter if he sings well or not, this guy doesn't belong in the competition any longer and most people won't like him either way. He is only there because of a ratings stunt twist. So, Idol, you want to save Mike? Now, so do we!
But remember, let's not do the complacent voting thing like so many people did with Siobhan. Mike clearly needs votes and we need to give them to him. 300 pound personal trainer for the win!
JoesPlace released two updates on the top 24. First, Todrick Hall is the final male (replacing previously listed contestant Ben Honeycutt, who was never actually in the top 24). Secondly, Michael Lynche appears to not be disqualified. So he may still be in it. We'll find out soon enough. So Todrick's in, and Michael's in too, according to JoesPlace. That is all.
Joe's Place is reporting that American Idol 9 Top 24 contestant Michael Lynche may have been disqualified after his dad leaked a spoiler to the news. In an article, Marque Sr, confirmed that Michael made the top 24. Now rumors are surfacing that Michael was disqualified and some guy named Antwan Michael was brought in to take his place. Antwan (video above) seems a little strange and can't seem to sing on key, so this might be a good thing for us. We shall see.
