Taste of Country has the names of Scotty and Lauren's new singles that they will perform on Tuesday night. Scotty's is called "Love You This Big" and Lauren's is called "Like My Mother Does." Both sound like boring, lame country ballads. MJ's Big Blog found out that Lauren's song is a reject from Kristy Lee Cook's failed country album. Best part of that one- we get plenty of shots of Lauren's fantastically freaky mom in the audience during the performance!

MJ's also found out that Scotty will have a song picked for him by George Strait and Lauren will have a song picked for her by Carrie Underwood.

Can we just fast forward over Tuesday's obvious snoozefest and get back to seeing Paul, Naima, Casey, Haley, and the gang being totally awesome on Wednesday's finale?

Further proving that the Grammys are irrelevant, 3 former Idol contestants received nominations this year. Carrie Underwood predictably scored a nomination for her song Temporary Home, Fantasia received 3 nominations in the R&B categories, and Adam Lambert received a nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal for his payola crapsterpiece Whataya Want From Me. While that may sound good for this group, take note other "talented" nominees include Justin Bieber for Best New Artist and Katy Perry for Album of the Year. Hopefully the 3 former Idols will perform together on stage in one grand VFTW performance involving Carrie short circuiting while Adam Lambert humps a sweaty Fantasia from behind. That oughta be enough to get the show cancelled.

Carrie Underwood won Entertainer of the Year for the second year in a row at the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight. Of course, it didn;t hurt that the voting was done via text messaging, and her Idol fans were well versed in already voting for her. Also, Toby Keith's fans probably don't know how to operate one of them there telephones. But congrats to Farmbot for taking it back to back. Her performance chip's recent upgrade is totally showing.
