VFTW pick Paul McDonald sailed through into the top 12 without touching the bottom 3, as did backup picks Naima, Paul, Casey, and well basically half the cast. The most predictable bottom 3 consisted of Karen, Haley, and Ashthon. Latino voters saved Karen, fans of anal sex saved Haley, so no one was left to save Ashthon. The judges didn't use the save and she was sent home. You know what that means? Paul McDonald is getting a caricature this weekend. You go, white boy. We're going for our 4th white guy with a guitar winner in a row. So keep up those hilarious antics, Pauly. You too, half the cast. You're making this show way more fun than it's been in a long time by taking giant dumps on the stage. Love you!

JoesPlace has released 18 of the top 24 and also named 5 people who were cut (the site seems to be overloaded with traffic!). Jessica Cunningham and Eryn Kelly were cut (no shock, we haven't seen them), Hoillie Cavanagh was cut (boring), and John Wayne Schulz was cut (haha, frauen) but the big news is that Chris Medina was cut. This was brilliant on the producers' part. Chris would've gotten to the end of the show without even trying based on the pimping of his handicapped fiancee, so kicking him out now saved us months of agony and boredom. Nice call, Nigel!

With many of the frauen already falling in love with douchebag Chris Medina or overpimped Lauren Alaina, American Idol Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe realized he should encourage people to keep watching and not form a favorite yet.
