We're teaming with AOL Television to name the 12 worst 'American Idol' semifinalists ever. We'll be posting one finalist each week. Check back next Tuesday for AOL's pick at #4.

Name: Carmen Rasmusen
Season: 2
Worst Performance: 'And So It Goes'
Why We Loved Her (But Everyone Else Hated Her): It's only fitting that the week we vote for Casey James, we do a post about Carmen Rasmusen. Casey may be awesome, but for the best goat vibrato ever heard on Idol, look no further than Carmen.

Carmen Rasmusen was the lucky recipient of an Idol twist during season 2 that never happened again. For the Wildcard show, producers brought back a few contestants that had been previously cut. Because of this, we saw the return of some girl who kept singing that "Angel" song over and over and a quiet girl who later went on to have a sex tape. But the worst of the wildcards was Carmen Rasmusen. She nervously picked "Can't Fight the Moonlight" as her performance and it was a horrific train wreck that easily earned her a spot in the VFTW record books.

Wildcard May Include Previously Cut Contestants

Simon Cowell admits that last week's show sucked ass to USA Today, but something else in the article is stranger. The article says, "In next Thursday's wild-card round, the judges bring back eight or nine singers — not necessarily just from the semifinals — and pick three to round out the Top 12." So we have to listen to more rejects come back? Well hey... this could be a good thing! In season 2 when Idol tried this terrible experiment, every person that they brought back that hadn't made the semifinals was awful, culminating in VFTW victory Carmen Rasmusen making it into the top 12. So hey, maybe we'll get some crap that's even worse than we'd expected in the top 12. Amen to that and let's hope so!

As the seventh season of American Idol has ended, Vote for the Worst has compiled a list of the 20 performances that make us actually take the time to watch Idol. These are not the 20 worst performances, nor are they 20 performances with bad singing. They are our 20 favorite, most entertaining performances that really define what VFTW is all about. Did your favorite make the list? Season 2 American Idol contestant Carmen Rasmusen is coming out to say that the Idols who the producers would like to see win are given preferential treatment. In an article she wrote for the Deseret News, Carmen talks about these discrepancies. She says, "I only received minimal vocal coaching from American Idol voice instructor Debra Byrd" while she listened to favored contestants like Clay Aiken receiving over a half hour of quality feedback and lessons each week. She also says she ws given no feedback on her performing or wardrobe choices, while it was obvious other contestants had a lot of help. Is this fair? Of course not. But that's Idol for you. Our guess is that Brooke is going to receive the Rasmusen treatment this week while the Davids are given extra attention.
