Lauren Alaina wasn't the only one who had a Thanksgiving Day singing flub on national TV. At the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Scotty McCreery was set to sing his single "The Trouble with Girls." But instead of singing, he was going to lip sync. And unfortunately for him, he missed his cue so he just looked like a big dummy. Maybe the Idols are all messing up today so VFTW has something to be thankful for?
Scotty McCreery's first music video is out. Yes, this guy won American Idol. VFTW Victory! Glad to see because he received no criticism at all while on Idol, he never had to improve. He's still doing the white boy gang symbols and holding the microphone in that stupid way he always has. Oh Scotty, #babylockthemdoors will never get old.
Mercury Nashville has officially signed Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. Wonder who's going to get fired over that one. Scotty's single does seem to have debuted well on country radio at first glance, breaking the record for "highest debut by a new artist." But if you look into it, the last person to break the record was Nashville Star season 2 winner Brad Cotter. And what happened to him? Has anyone even heard of him? We do hope for hilarity's sake that Scotty gets a small career out of this that will be fun to track. The hicks seem to be eating the Scotty music up so far. Unfortunately for Lauren, it looks like not much is happening with her except massive amounts of airbrushing for her promo pictures. 124,000 digital downloads of a song is kind of sad for someone who was just on a TV show with 20 million people watching.
Bravo to The Soup. We knew we weren't the only ones who loved Scotty's lean to the side. He's so gangsta!
