In the least surprising development in the history of civilization, Steve Jones and Nicole Shitzinger have been fired from X Factor. Poor Steve had never done anything like this in his life and was so awful VFTW actually began liking him! And Nicole proved that someone with the mental makeup of a six-year-old girl wasn't a good choice as a judge.
Breaking News: Paula Abdul's fired too!
Meanwhile, chalk up another failure for Simon Cowell. Or should I say three!
While VFTW won't miss Nicole, we will miss Steve. Read on to re-visit some of his greatest moments...
We have the spoilers from the X-Factor's 6:00 auditions show on 6/8/11 but not the 1:00 show yet. One thing to note: Nathaniel Marshall from American Idol tried out again (yes!) but he did not make it past the judges (no!). Paula and Nicole liked him, but L.A. and Simon were being their usual homophobic selves and cut him because they can't handle his fierceness. Another thing to note: Paula Abdul was her usual self, barely sober enough to formulate a complete sentence. Hooray! We love you, Paula. Here's the rest of the rundown. Thanks to our source for typing this all out for us!
The contestants that made it:
Adrian & Julian: "Hellelujah" and "Sunday Morning" - They were either 12 or 14 identical twin boys with Bieber haircuts. They kind of sucked but were cute and the teen girls went insane for them. Potential Worster pics. Simon told them to fire their parents. - will likely get airtime - about as talented as jedward but not as cheeky
Everybody drink some booze and pop some pills because Paula Abdul's back where VFTW has always known she belongs! Simon's obviously trying to re-create American Idol, bringing in L.A. Reid to be his obese token producer like Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul to be, well, Paula! Who's next, Dunkleman?
While X Factor will also be mimicking Idol by having lazy famewhores singing karaoke, the true competition this Fall will be between Paula and Cheryl Cole to see who can first complete an intelligible sentence. And VFTW bets it's Paula...sometime during Season 3!
In Touch Magazine is reporting that American Idol sees the mistake they made and they want Paula Abdul back on the judges' panel. The insider that talked to In Touch says, "They’re not sure if she’d be the fifth judge, but they are talking to her. People tuned in to see Paula’s wacky antics and her chemistry with Simon. The show is just not as much fun to watch without her." Yep, we all loved Paula and her antics. But FIFTH judge? Is the show that stupid to add yet another judge? Oh wait, yes they are.
Idol - we're telling you. Bring back Paula. Add Whitney on crack. Add Howard Stern. Watch the ratings skyrocket.
