Phillip Phillips came out and delivered the same old same old with his Usher performance, but then he really embraced his VFTW side with "In the Midnight Hour." It's like when your drunk cousin gets up in front of the reserved wedding and does some inebriated karaoke. The faces he makes, his chicken dancing, we just love him! Phillip isn't safe just because he's gotten votes in the past, we need to keep voting for him so we can get WGWG5 to the victory circle. So make sure to dial 1-866-436-5704 lots and lots tonight.

As Steven Tyler said, Phillip is "brilliantly awkward." And that awkwardness deserves our votes. This guy must win. He just must.

Jessica Sanchez, Elise and Joshua were the bottom 3, with Jessica getting the lowest number of votes (lol!). But of course she's saved. The whole way the save was handled and Jessica's reaction came off as authentic as a three-dollar bill. But those who read VFTW weren't shock as we predicted this. Clearly this was a way to get Jessica more fans, but we're not on board. Randy even asked America to "vote for the best." Was that a shoutout to us? We're blushing! But at least the save is wasted now so VFTW can get down to business and do some real damage. We're embracing the inevitable as we're just a few weeks away from WGWG Winner #5!

First of all, Idol, more duos and trios! Those were the most putrid, off key performances of the season. All 3 group performances entertained the hell out of me. I can't even pick which one I loved the most. Keep it up, the show is finally funny.

Back to our regularly scheduled post... now that all of the obvious contestants are gone, it's time for VFTW to get down to business and do what we came to do. It is time for us to crown the 5th White Guy With a Guitar winner in a row! Nothing will distract us from our goal to make WGWG #5 the new winner so that the winner is exactly what we've gotten the last 4 years. The most fun we have every season is making sure that a white guy wins the season to help put the nail in Idol's coffin. 

After Phillip's horrifically VFTW worthy duet with Elise, it really wasn't a tough decision. Phillip has the same performance every week, so he most certainly deserves to become the same Idol winner we've come to support here round these parts. It's time to make sure Phillip gets into the finale and that Joshua and Jessica don't.

It's no longer about the week to week, it's now time to make sure we piss everyone off with the same exact winner who has won over and over. Also, the producers watch this site way too closely. If we pick Phillip, Hollie will somehow not be the lowest vote getter (so the producers can say VFTW had nothing to do with saving her) and they'll finally waste the save this week on someone else. In the grand tradition of American Idol contestants rushed to the hospital (see: Casey Abrams, Crystal Bowersox), Phillip Phillips has been admitted to the hospital according to TMZ. The hospitalization may be related to Phil's kidney stone surgery in October. Regardless, he wants to continue on the show and will probably try to put off treatment until the show's over. Guess we'll see if he's there tonight and if this is something real or a publicity stunt Idol is using to get people talking.
