Because Scotty is a minor, his Idol winning contract has to be approved by a judge and now it's public record. MJ's Big Blog has the details: Scotty is set to earn $250,000 for winning and recording his first album. He'll also make a bit more for licensing his image for products, roaylties for his music, and for going on tour. Lauren Alaina is making $87,500 (but it doubles if she records an album). This sounds low, and it's even funnier when you look at what some of the other minors made for being finalists on Idol. Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta made $360,000 after their first albums. So Scotty took a pay cut of over $100,000. Guess it pays to let a stupid hick win since he doesn't know any better. Now it makes even more sense why the final 2 ended up being these two.

Jordin Sparks Isn't Wearing Sleeves Or Much Else For That Matter

Jordin Sparks must be feeling incredibly confident these days, as she tweeted a picture of herself in a bikini yesterday. She's definitely lost quite a bit of weight, so good for her, but what an awkward picture. Her face looks photoshopped on as a no-neck monster. If you're going to tweet a bikini picture, shouldn't you try to make it as flattering as possible or have someone else take it?

Jordin Sparks Music Video for "The World I Knew"

Jorbacca's back with a new video and we won't make all of the easy jokes. We won't discuss how the video compares Jordin to other ferocious wild animals. We won't point out that it's funny how the loud drum beats kick in at the beginning of the song as Jordin starts to walk as if she's shaking the ground. And we won't comment on how the song is about as boring as every Idol coronation song. So that leaves us with... hey, Jordin has a new song and it has a video!

Jordin Sparks No Longer Needs to Wear Sleeves (We Think)

The American Idol 10 contestants recently visited Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night. Also there were other past Idol contestants, most notably Jordin Sparks. But instead of looking Jorbacca-esque as usual, Jordin actually looked good (even while not wearing sleeves). We're as shocked as you are. Could this picture (via MJ's Big Blog) be Photoshopped? Or is Jordin actually looking good these days? Either way, we're sure the fine citizens of Japan are breathing a sigh of relief that they can just concentrate on earthquake and tsunami relief without worrying about one more thing.
