Deb and Dave went to see  Mr. Sanjaya Malakar at his stop in Chicago yesterday on the State of Independence Tour. And yes, he was pretty awesome. So were the other bands, Brave Chandeliers and Chris Blair. So don't just make Sanjaya wish you were there... go see him. There are still tour dates for Milwaukee, Kansas City, Dallas, and Albuquerque. So go see this show. Because if you don't see Sanjaya when he comes to your town on tour, you are a horrible Worster.

VFTW's favorite papaya, Sanjaya Malakar, has just landed a role in the off-Boradway production of "Freckleface Strawberry." He starts his role in February 23. The show is based on a Julianne Moore kids' book where the title character tries to hide her red hair and freckles because she's embarrassed about them. That sounds like a certain season 8 second place Idol contestant who tries desperately to hide the fact that he has freckles and horrible craters on his face. Maybe Sanjaya can give him some tips on not being a douche and learning how to love himself.
