Clay Aiken blogged about Adam Lambert's loss, saying that he was happy because Adam was the perfect example of a professional who didn't need Idol to help his career. Clay wishes the show would go back to trying to find undiscovered talent instead of pimping proven failures like Carly Smithson (the Carly comparison is ours, not his. We just like to use her as a punching bag.) Clay blogged:
"The show was different then, and folks made it in seasons 1-3 because they were "real" people who happened to sing/entertain well. But, somewhere along the way, AI stopped being about real people. In a battle between David and Goliath, my money is on David!
I think many voters got sick of being "told who to vote for". I think many were turned off by the blatant favoritism shown towards one contestant. Therefore, on that last night, they used their votes against a contestant that they were tired of hearing about and for the contestant who had been written off. And, at the same time, I think they voted AGAINST an American Idol that has, for four years now, been more about the slick productions and polished contestants than it has been about finding the raw talent that it did in its first three seasons."
Preach it! Though Clay does leave out that he was pimped beyond belief at the expense of other contestants, just like Adam was. But does this make Clay Aiken a sort-of Worster?
It's true. It's just hilarious that someone is actually saying it. From the Gene Simmons website:
Gene..
You rocked tonight on American Idol. Like always. U R a rock god!!!!!
If you cant can you hook Adam Lambert up with someone to get him started on the way to be another rock god like you.
My opinion is: Adam should of won American idol hands down. He is amazing. I have bought everything there is to buy of him on I tunes and I voted hundreds of times for him on Tuesday nights. actually sat here and voted and voted for hours for him.
Hope you actually get this and can send Adam somewhere he can start his rock n roll career .
Take care and big ass hugs to you, JodieResponse from Gene:
Respectfully,
I don't think Adam is a rock singer. He sounds much more convincing singing ballads, and Broadway shows. His voice doesn't seem to have a "rock quality." But, I'm sure he's going to do just fine.
A reader named Joseph sent us the 2 album covers for Adam Lambert and Kris Allen's versions of "No Boundaries". One looks like it took some effort and the other looks slapped together. Joseph also mentioned that Adam's version of the song has a ton of production while Kris's doesn't. Idol probably assumed Adam had this thing in the bag and didn't take too much time to work on Kris's art. Too bad we messed that one up.

Even the press isn't sure what to do with Kris Allen's win. This makes it an even funnier VFTW victory. Seacoast Online reporter Gina Carbone wrote a whole article because she's so bitter.
Bad call, Sneaky Silent Majority. Congratulations on getting your middle of-the-road choice once again. Safe. Easy. "No Boundaries" my arse. You clearly are keeping those boundaries tightly in place. All you've done is canonize martyr Glambert -- somewhere someone is seeing his face on a piece of toast and worshipping it even more -- and making Kris Allen "The Guy Who Stole American Idol From Adam Lambert."
Hilarious! And she mentioned a funny tidbit about the AP sending out the wrong winner.
The Associated Press was ready to crown him. They sent out an AP News Alert at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday night: "Adam Lambert has won the eighth season of "American Idol," beating fellow finalist Kris Allen." They fixed it quickly to read: "CORRECTS: Kris Allen won the 8th season of "American Idol," beating finalist Adam Lambert."
No one suspected the power of VFTW and Arkansas.
The Kris Allen-Adam Lambert showdown wasn't even close according to a tweet by Billy Bush. Rumor also has it that 38 million of the 100 million votes cast last night came exclusively from Arkansas. Since most of the country voted for Adam, that would about even it out. Combine that with VFTW's help and the pissed off Danny Gokey fans, and it was easy to see why Kris won. VFTW Victory! (Info via MJ's Big Blog)
So finally, someone asks Adam to stop jumping around the topic and just say, "I'm gay." Entertainment Weekly pops the question, but Adam doesn't bite.
I want to just get this question out of the way first, something that's been dangling a bit over you for the whole season: Would you like to put to rest all the speculation about your sexuality?
It's not dangling over my head. [Laughing] It may be dangling over yours, but it's not over mine. Yeah, I think speculation keeps things really interesting. So you don't want to say anything one way or the other?
Like I said, I think speculation keeps things very, very interesting. [Laughs]
Of course there is no speculation and only idiots think he's straight. But Adam doesn't realize that saying he's gay will at least scare off most of the disturbed frauen who will stalk him all during the tour. Maybe he likes 300 pound women?
It seems that Neil Lambert, Adam Lambert's brother, has been posting at SomethingAwful.com. And he has some choice words about VFTW that read much like the hilarious hate mail we always get:
Seriously, Neil? Poo poo? Hot Topic? But hey, the bitchy queens on this site can't really hate you that much, because you love to mock Gokey as much as we do. So right on there, brother.
