Chris Daughtry

Kelly Clarkson made headlines last year for her public tussle with Clive Davis over wanting to not sell out and instead record her own music. After a failed album, we guess Kelly has decided to sell out. MJ's Big Blog found this photo on producer Howard Benson's MySpace. It's captioned "Me, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry at recording session for duet." God no! Kelly, what are you thinking? You don't need this tool to record new music. He looks like an evil turd. Kelly Clarkson just went down 500 cool points in our book. Hopefully she puts out a decent album and the duet is just for some stupid Idol promo. What a shame!

Daughtry's Bleating "Feels Like The First Time"

Daughtry recorded a version of "Feels Like the First Time" for CNN to encourage first time voters to register. Hey tool, this song has nothing to do with voting. It's almost as bad as his video for "What About Now" that takes a boring love song and tries to make it important about global problems. Daughtry is far too self-centered and idiotic to care about anyone but himself. He must have a smart manager trying to do damage control.

Chris Daughtry to Appear on CSI: New York

Posted by thefunnystone on September 21st, 2008 at 11:45 AM

Chris Daughtry will reportedly be guest starring in an episode of CSI: New York this fall. Chris will be joining former NFL star Marshall Faulk, has-been Scott Wolf, and never-was Rumer Willis in the episode. Sounds like a brilliant career move. But really, we're cool with it if he gets killed off. We're extremely cool with it if it's a gory death scene. And since the episode centers around a bunch of people named Mac Taylor being killed (Chris plays one of them), we should be in for a treat. Someone please YouTube it for us.

Chris Daughtry Being Sued Along With More Losers

Last month, we brought you the hilarious lawsuit filed by the writers of "Feels Like Tonight" against a band called The Asphalt and their song "Tonight". As predcited, The Asphalt has countersued. Far be it from us to judge (OK, we like judging), but The Asphalt's lawsuit makes a hell of a lot more sense and isn't as flowery and ridiculous. As an added bonus, Chris Daughtry is named in the lawsuit too. Since we've heard that "Feels Like Tonight" was the song that Taylor Hicks was supposed to sing before he threw a fit about it, finally the gray haired one is probably laughing to himself. Feels Like Tonight's The Night for a Lawsuit

Posted by thefunnystone on August 21st, 2008 at 9:47 PM

You may remember us posting this video a while ago, that Daughtry's awful song Feels Like Tonight sounds very much like The Asphalt's Tonight.  We've gotten word that Dr. Luke and company, the writers of Daughtry's probable rip-off, are suing the Asphalt for their song Tonight. Dr. Luke proports that the Asphalt are defaming him by having their song appear out of obscurity, and that they are stealing from his song. Wait, what?  So both parties claim they wrote the original song and the other stole it? We're more inclined to believe The Asphalt, as why would they make this up, and Dr. Luke has been accused of this theft in the past too. But seriously, the song sucks. It's like claiming ownership of a turd. But we're inclined to side with the little guys. VFTW got our hands on a copy of the court filing, so click "read more" for some highlights.

Daughtry Steals ANOTHER Song

Posted by thefunnystone on April 10th, 2008 at 8:11 PM

To celebrate the elimination of song stealing tool Michael Johns, let's make fun of another song stealing tool. VFTW was the first to tell you that Daughtry's song "Over You" was just a ripoff of another terrible song, "Photograph". With the same chord structure, same screaming chorus, and more, you can play the songs on top of each other with a few tweaks and you can barely tell you're listening to two different songs.

Now, Daughtry's "Feels Like Tonight" is being compared to The Asphalt's "Tonight" by Idolator. What do you think? Is this plagiarism or not? Because Daughtry is such a tool, we hope this comes back to bite him in the ass.

Looks like Idol isn't the magic formula after all. While one former Idol at least got something at the Grammies (Carrie Underwood won Best Female Country Vocal Performance, and songwriters for Farmbot and Boomie won in 2 other categories), the other Idols left empty-handed. Major tool Daughtry rightfully lost in all categories except for Worst Performance by a Tool with an Idiotic Tattoo (he almost lost to Blake Lewis), while Mantasia, Kelly Clarkson, and homophobe Mandisa also took home nothing. Don't be sad, kids. You can still come back to sing Idol Gives Head 2.0 since you'll likely be forced to anyway. And we just had to post this funny picture of John Mayer and Daughtry at the finale, courtesy of MJ's Big Blog. Leave us a comment and write a caption!

Proof that Daughtry = Nickelback

Posted by thefunnystone on August 28th, 2007 at 4:20 PM

You may have heard Daughtry's new song "Over You" on the radio and thought "Hey, this sounds familiar!" Why? Because it has the same exact chord structure (minus one chord) and most of the same elements of the song "Photograph" by Nickelback. Don't believe us? Watch and laugh. The melodies may be slightly different, but you can't deny the songs are eerily similar (complete with similar goat vibrato screaming). This is further proof that Daughtry is just an awful wannabe of an awful band. Make sure to share this link with all of your friends.
