She sounds better than on Idol this week, but it still sounds like her voice is shot. A little bit of rest is needed, perhaps? Also, she performed "I Do Not Hook Up" written by that musical magician of all things disposable, Katy Perry, as well as the horny, useless judge on Idol (Kara, not Paula).

So remember that Kelly Clarkson/Chris Daughtry duet we were hoping would never surface? Well, we're only half lucky. Kelly and Chris's version will never see the light of day, but the song will appear on Nick Lachey's upcoming album. Nick wrote the song with Idol horndog Kara DioGuardi, so they decided to do the duet together so it wouldn't go to waste. The song is called "Temporary" and we're not looking forward to it. Come on, it's Nick Lachey and Kara DioGuardi. What is there to possibly even look forward to? It's just nice that we don't have to hear Daughtry's goat vibrato until his second CD of Nickelback hand-me-downs comes out.

Created by the braintrust of writer Katy Perry and producer Kara DioGuardi, Oh No They Didn't has a demo of Katy's version of the rumored single single from Kelly Clarkson's new album. The track is called (I Do Not) Hook Up. Is it just us, or is Kelly going for completely vapid throwaway pop now? Way to completely do a 180 from the last album but go too far. Where's the good stuff like Breakaway had?

Thanks to MJ's Big Blog for the tip. Kelly Clarkson's new single, "My Life Would Suck Without You" is available as a free download at VH1. So if it's your cup of tea, head on over there and download away. Expect Kelly on Idol in the first few weeks to promote this. The song's a little formulaic, but Kelly probably needs to do something like this to get back into the public eye.

Amazon.com has a preview of Kelly Clarkson's new single "My Life Would Suck Without You". As expected, it's very poppy and in the same vein as "Since U Been Gone" after Kelly's last album which tanked big time. Will the song catch on? Guess we'll see. The song should hit radio next week. What do you think of it so far?

Here's the album cover for Kelly Clarkson's new album "All I Ever Wanted". Much less photoshopped than her single cover, so it's better. Kind of a retro color scheme, but the real test will be if the music is good.
