Megan Joy's High School Graduation Picture
A reader sent us this picture of Megan graduating from high school. Of course it just makes us love her more, because she seems to be doing the "OK, look, can I go home now?" face. Our songbird was even an honorary Worster back in high school.
We'll Be Making Our Pick on Tuesday
Since we're not 100% sold on any of the other contestants in the way we were with Megan, we're going to wait to make our pick until this Tuesday when we see them all sing again. Scott is leading the pack at this point since he has the foresight to make us really like him these last few weeks. But he also definitely has Allison and Anoop along for the ride and hot on his tail as the other 2 VFTW considerations. So if any of you contestants want some extra votes, ours are up for grabs. JohnnyDrama and CJ (They're No Broken Records)
VFTW member JohnnyDrama just sent us a picture of him with Megan Joy's awesome brother CJ, the guy who called out Kara on being a broken record. Sure it's from a camera phone, but it's still fun! JD said that CJ mentioned it was okay to post the picture on the site. JD also says that, "CJ was totally cool. He said he loves VFTW and when I told him I was a worster we hugged like long lost friends!! Him and his Dad were awesome and very cool!" So shoutout to Megan's family (the Joys? We have no idea what her maiden name was, do we? Haha.) Coolest Idol family of the year by far. (There was a picture of Megan's dad too, but it didn't turn out. Sorry about that!)
Megan Joy on American Idol Extra
Megan was interviewed on American Idol Extra (video via MJ's Big Blog). She says that she made the tour, so after that point, she just wanted to have fun. And boy are we glad she did. She also liked to hang out in her closet. She also claims she hasn't been on the internet, but then they show her on the computer literally a minute later. We know that's the standard answer she's forced to say by the show, so hopefully Megan knows how much the Worsters love her.
Megan Joy on Fox Philly and in Entertainment Weekly
Two more Megan interviews for you to enjoy. In her Fox Philly interview above, Megan says, "Don't worry fans, I hope to please you further later in life." We know, Megan, and we look forward to it. And in her Entertainment Weekly interview, Megan gives up a few tidbits as well. She says her final performance was a big fuck you to the judges because, "They have a habit of talking to each other while we sing. That's so rude." So true! Also, she tells people who hate her dancing, ''Too bad. Close your eyes.'' She adds that, "the producers were constantly like, 'Practice in the mirror!' But I don't like to." This is why we love Megan. Unfiltered and awesome. More interviews, please.
