This source alleges the show decided to switch horses at the last minute, that contestant Blake Lewis was allegedly scheduled to be told to go home last night, until Idol producers changed their minds...

MELINDA WENT HOME!!!!!! VFTW VICTORY!!!! Holy crap... who saw this coming? Our votes made all the difference this week, and even the pimp spot didn't save her. This is a glorious moment, let's all celebrate! Blake is driving the VFTW bus to the finale, even if he hit a speedbump along the way. Go Emo-Skunk!
USA Today broke the song spoilers for the week. This week, our KiKi is singing Run to Me and Staying Alive. Seriously. We love it so much. So if we want LaKisha to stay alive in the competition, we're gonna have to vote overtime. This is hopegfully going to be a great week for our favorite baby mama.

In other updates, it's rumored that Gwen Stefani will be singing her single "The Sweet Escape" on the March 28 episode of Idol. Expect a VFTW victory that eclipses even the worst contestant that week.
