Our favorite VFTW pick is a true superstar. Even more Sanjaya in pop culture: an Over the Hedge cartoon (above) and a story about someone mistaking him for a doorman. We keep you updated because we know you can't get enough Sanjaya. Because what would you do without Sanjaya news? Watch American Idol? Not likely, have you seen the people who are left...
The News Tribune has a great piece about Sanjaya's homecoming to Federal Way, Washington. He did get his very own day after all, so thanks to everyone who wrote to the mayor and council members to help out. It looks like great things are happening for our papaya, and we're so happy for him. He truly is the star of the season thanks to his fans and us!
The Seattle Times reports that Sanjaya is already at work on his album: "Sanjaya will soon head into the studio to work on his debut album." Who else is ready to pick up multiple copies to make this season's winner look bad? We can't wait for your album, Sanjaya, so keep us updated. And make sure to include your rendition of You Really Got Me.
How many awards can Sanjaya win? Who knows, but it will never be enough. TV.com has a fashion awards coming up, and Sanjaya is nominated for best hair and best trendsetter. So head on by and vote for him as many times as you can (you can vote as much as you want). We must help him win every award possible in the known universe. Go Sanjaya!
Sure, we're sad that we lost Phil. But the Worsters can still celebrate a VFTW Victory this morning, as we got Sanjaya to #3 on Time's 100 Most Influential People of the Year! Great job, everyone. With our help, our Papaya will be doing great things soon. Thanks to everyone who voted, VFTW did a great job on this one. We'll keep you updated on how to help Sanjaya even more in the future, and hopefully we can help our other picks like Phil and Antonella out as well. As for who will be the next VFTW pick... check back soon! Here are some quick updates for the weekend.
-We're doing it! Sanjaya Malakar is up to #4 on Time's 100 Most Influential People of the Year list. Keep giving him votes for 100 here, let's get him even higher.
-Sanjaya Malakar's voice coach, Nelson Del Pino, has started a website and I said I'd pass the link along. So check it out.
-And finally, our last winner for the 37" flat screen TV was Rhett from Cedar Hills, UT. Congratulations, Rhett! Remember to text 'VFTW' to 27563 to receive VFTW updates on your cell phone.
