American Idol 8 - Top 36 Spoiler - Lil Rounds
Salt Lake City Spoilers and Other Fun Info
We received a pretty fun tip yesterday and we wanted to share it today before the Salt Lake City auditions. Some fun info for you:
- David Osmond actually wasn't a plant. He went to try out on his own, but clearly he was an idiot if he thought he wouldn't be recognized with that last name. His wife Valerie wasn't so lucky- she was cut immediately.
- Another "plant" tried out but had no luck either. Natalia Wolfgramm, a younger sister of one of the members of the 80's group The Jets, didn't make it past the first round either. Plant Taylor Vaifanua (who we outed as a contestant) is friends with Natalia's family.
- David Osmond is probably going to go on tour with David Archuleta soon. Gaspy has auditions for his band this past week and we hear that apparently Jeff Archuleta only wanted Mormon band members because he feels that the others are a "bad influence" on David. Jeff also wants to fill the band with Mormons because they apparently ask for less money. Sam Schultz, the guy who started Taylor Vaifanua's last music group, is the new PR guy for Gaspy.
Looks like everyone knows everyone in Utah, huh? So even though David Osmond is cut in Hollywood, Taylor Vaifanua still makes it to at least the top 50. She's interweaved into a few webs there, so she's pretty planty. Guess we'll see what happens as the episode airs tonight.
American Idol 8 Top 50 Spoiler - Jackie Midkiff
Some 17 year old named Jackie Midkiff has made it to the top 50, according to JoesPlace. He's a country singer from Tennessee. He sucks at keeping secrets though and has told just about everyone he knows. Maybe that means he's cut before the top 36? Some crazy bitch named Danielle posted on his MySpace, "I'm just thankful to know your heart! America is in a panic right now and look who GOD sends to comfort her! Only HIS anointed would do! All eyes on you Jack Jack." I think we'll pass. This guy seems obnoxious if he has friends like that. American Idol 8 Top 50 Spoiler - Scott MacIntyre and Megan Bohls
JoesPlace updated the top 50 list to now include Scott MacIntyre (blind guy) and Megan Bohls (who we know nothing about yet, so here's a video of her). Opinions?
UPDATE: Well, that was quick. JP now says Megan was cut. Scott's in though. Megan didn't leave enough of an impression for it to matter anyway.
American Idol 8 Top 50 Spoiler - Ann Marie Boskovich
A poster named Picklee says that Ann Marie Boskovich has made it into the top 50. She did a helium version of "Part Of Your World" for The Little Mermaid 2 soundtrack. Another plant of course, and she's attractive, so she probably makes it. She auditioned in Jacksonville, so we might see her on Tuesday.
American Idol 8 Top 50 Spoiler - Danny Gokey
Danny Gokey (the redheaded guy whose wife died) has made it to the top 50, per JoesPlace. Not surprising. The sob story contestants usually make it. Does he have the chops to make it on his own or will he relay on more sob stories to crack the top 12?
American Idol 8 Spoiler Update - Jessica Furney and Arianna Afsar
JoesPlace has a new source that says Jessica Furney may NOT have been cut in Hollywood and may still be in the running. Hey, that's fun! And JP also says Arianna Afsar ("adopt a grandfriend" girl) was cut in Hollywood. She seemed too nice to take on the Idol beast anyway, she's probably better off.
American Idol 8 Spoiler Update - Jessica Furney Cut in Hollywood
JoesPlace recently posted that Jessica Furney was cut in Hollywood. Figures. She wasn't nearly planty enough and didn't have enough show business experience to be the "next undiscovered talent." It would have been nice to have a non-plant on the show that could actually sing, but you know how Idol is.
UPDATE: Jessica may not have been cut. Another source says she made top 50. So it's up in the air right now.
It's our first top 36 spoiler of the season. We just received an anonymous tip that Lil Rounds definitely makes the top 36. That means viewers will have a chance to vote her in to the top 12 or not. This seems pretty plausible, as Lil was overly pimped in the audition episode, so this spoiler seems like it'll be correct.
