Go check out underrated Idol contestant Jackie Tohn tonight at The Living Room in New York City if you're in the area. It's a free show at 8:45 PM (not too late), so you have no excuse not to go. So do it. Here's a little Jackie on her couch to give you a taste of what to expect.
Jasmine Murray, the not-so-memorable top 13 contestant from American Idol 8, performed "Single Ladies" at the 2009 Mary Kay Seminar. An odd venue, but Jasmine shows 100 times more personality and better vocals than she ever did on the show, so good for her. Hopefully this will lead to other opportunities, like the 2010 Avon Convention and the 2011 Ms. Regional Tupperware Reunion Tour.
Speaking of the post below, here is Kelly Clarkson's video for Halo by Beyonce.
Yesterday, one day prior to her death, Alexis Cohen posted this video to her MySpace. Interesting last video. Alexis mentions that she lives in a bad neighborhood and she talks a lot about drugs. Could any of that have had something to do with her death? We'll see.
UPDATE: Looks like she was killed in a hit-and-run car accident.
Fabulous Normund Gentle returns to the Wendy Williams Show to talk about American Idol. Nick Mitchell's alter ego needs his own show. Now that would be must see TV. Normund forever!
Our lovely songbird Megan Joy continues to bring the fun to the American Idol tour, as we've heard she's been cawing at the end of some of her songs. Awesomeness! One of the Worsters even got to talk to Megan about her cawing and asked if she was giving a shoutout to VFTW. Read BobDylan4President's recap for the answer.
On the Vancouver stop of the Idol tour, during Allison and Adam's "Slow Ride" duet, someone throws a bra and then some panties on stage. And it's a big bra, probably from a 300 pound frau named Sue Ellen. Why did they pick them up? At least they got the undies off the stage as quickly as possible so the diseases didn't manifest in a toxic cloud.
Former American Idol semifinalist Alaina Whitaker's band Chasing Dixie got a mention on GAC's Headline Country July 30th. We're always rooting for the Idol contestants who do things without having to sign over their souls to 19E, so good luck to her.
