After the whole Out Magazine controversy, Adam Lambert decided to dispell the rumor that he's being managed poorly by people who don't want him to do "gay" things (their quote). Turns out, Adam is the moron who is turning his back on a pre-made fan base that probably would have supported him. First, he tweeted a nasty response to Out, then he told Entertainment Weekly even more:
"What people don’t realize is, I am managing my image, more than maybe the editor of OUT magazine likes to give anybody credit for. My team is a team... I’m not being puppeted around. I didn’t want to jump onto a gay magazine as my first thing, because I feel like that’s putting myself in a box and limiting myself... a letter like that, that viewpoint — the letter that Aaron wrote is holding us back. Because it’s recognizing the big difference as opposed to letting us all ignore preference and just be people. So I think in attempt to champion a cause he’s actually taking a big step backwards."
So basically, you're insulting all other gay people by saying you don't want to do anything having to do with your sexuality because you're just so over it? This from the guy who claims to be "edgy" just because he's gay and likes to pose with naked women for no reason. What a douchenozzle. We're still on Team Aaron.
Not that he ever stood a chance, but Adam Lambert will clearly not have the #1 album next week when it debuts. Amazon.com is reporting that anal sex loving Brit, Susan Boyle, has by far the best presales of any upcoming album. And with Lady Gaga releasing her Fame Monster, Rihanna's Rated R, Shakira's She-Wolf, Beyonce's I Am... Yours all being released that day too, Adam will be lucky to break the top 5.
One of our favorite robbed Idol contestant, Trenyce, was in a play called Love In the Nick of Tyme. She stars as a haridresser named Portia who gets pregnant by one of the salon owner's flames. The play is now available on DVD at Amazon, so make sure to go pick it up and catch a great performance by another talented contestant who's making things happen on her own.
Apparently, the Idols can't put out decent singles nowadays. Likely because it was failing miserably, Danny Gokey's label has switched his first single from the incredibly mockable "It's Only" to the only a little bit better "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me". The song isn't any good, but after "Its only Jesus, la da da da" it sounds like a masterpiece.
Ayla Brown is releasing some live videos from her new Ayla Brown Live! album, so we're posting the one for "Respect" here. There's a new video coming out each Tuesday, so check out the YouTube account to see more.
The video's actually pretty cute for Allison. Though why do a close up on her braces? The song hasn't gotten any better, but at least the video might win her some fans.
First off, apparently someone out there wants to sleep with Fantasia. That defies logic. But anyways... Star Magazine is putting Fantasia on blast for dating a married man named Antwaun Cook. She even has his last name tattooed on her shoulder. Antwaun has reportedly dumped his wife and two young sons to live in Fantasia's mansion. Hopefully all of this is being chronicled for that rumored reality show Fantasia has going on, because you know how we love a good train wreck.
Eh, could have been much funnier. Then again, The Dish is just The Soup's much less funny cousin, so that's about right.
